Trainer Andre Fabre is eyeing a crack at the Group One over a mile in August for the son of Galileo despite bookmakers making him favourite for the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe over a mile and a half in October.
While that race has by no means been ruled out by connections, they will plan his career on a race-by-race basis.
"He has really improved and was very impressive," said Fabre. "He has various options but his next race is likely to be the Prix Jacques le Marois.
"I think he'll stay 12 furlongs if we want to run him in the Arc."
Pierre-Yves Bureau, racing manager for the owners, the Wertheimer brothers, added: "We need to see how he comes out of the race but the Marois is a strong possibility.
"It is a race his owners enjoy and it would be nice if he can get a Group One win over a mile after his unlucky run in the French Guineas.
"Yesterday's distance (10 and a half furlongs) seemed no problem to him, but we'll go back to a mile first and then see. It's a bit too early to make a decision about the Arc."
Fabre also saddled the third home on Sunday in the Godolphin-owned Sky Hunter, who was taking a big leap up in class.
"Sky Hunter ran a very nice race," said Fabre. "That was the first time he had run against horses of that calibre and I think he showed that he was up to it.
"I'm not sure where he'll run next yet."
