JUST FRANK (3.40) can make a bold bid for glory in another red-hot renewal of the Ayr Gold Cup.

Les Eyre’s horse showed his liking for these big-field handicaps when routing Gift List at Newmarket.

He then ended his juvenile career with a good second to Lipizzaner in Listed company at Doncaster.

The gelding took a while to find his feet this term with some lacklustre efforts over seven furlongs but the three-year-old hit back with a vengeance when slamming Woven over six at Thirsk.

The likeable sprinter remains on an attractive mark so he can strike again under jockey Paul Mulrennan.

JUAN ELCANO (1.55) should make his class tell for in-form Kevin Ryan in the Doonside Cup. The gelding looked terrific when chinning Patrick Sarsfield in the Wolferton at Ascot and was just held by Bangkok at York.

He was out of his depth when last in the Juddmonte International at the same venue but can resume winning ways dropped in class.

BLACKROD (2.30) is the tip for Michael Dods in the Ayr Silver Cup. The speedster went down narrowly to First Folio in the Pavers Sprint at York but made no mistake when downing Apollo One at Newmarket.

He looked better than ever in outpointing fellow improver Digital at York last month and can strike off a lenient mark.

HEAD MISTRESS (3.05) should teach her rivals a lesson in the Firth Of Clyde Stakes.

Ger Lyons’ juvenile was not unfancied ahead of her racecourse debut at Down Royal in July and rewarded her supporters by defeating Special Power.

She then cosily dismissed Loveday in a Curragh Listed event and can add this warm Group 3 to her CV.

In The Virgin Bet Handicap I’ll trust CRUYFF TURN (4.15) . Tim Easterby’s horse won over seven furlongs at Leicester and Redcar but finished only seventh on soft going at Haydock. The gelding bounced back when outbattling Magical Morning at York and can follow up on the fast surface.

The EBF Nursery is even trickier but I’m siding with Kevin Ryan’s KING OF YORK (1.20) .

He fended off La Pulga at Carlisle but was demoted by the stewards and can strike on his handicap bow.

Keith Dalgleish’s SUMMA PETO (4.50) can pay for the fare home in the Gribbens Taxi Handicap. The grey atoned for a flop at Ascot when third to Redarna over track and trip and can score over seven furlongs. ANNANDALE (5.20) looks to regain his spark in the closing Jordan Electrics Ltd Handicap.

Mark Johnston’s gelding was outclassed in the Ebor at York but can win down in grade.

At Newbury, HURRICANE IVOR (2.15) can blow his rivals away in the Dubai World Trophy.

William Haggas’ horse showed a blistering turn of foot when dead-heating at Sandown in July and improved again when cosily dismissing Boundless Power in last week’s Portland at Doncaster.

Andrew Balding’s FOXES TALES (2.50) could shock odds-on favourite Al Aasy in the Legacy Cup. The talented three-year-old hammered Visualisation in the Golden Gates Handicap at Royal Ascot and beat Fancy Man at Haydock so should win over an extra furlong.

KING OF CLUBS (3.25) can reign for Hughie Morrison in the Dubai Duty Free Handicap.

He finished third to Dubai Honour over 1m 2f at Newmarket before beating Victory Chime at Sandown and should pass his toughest assignment. In the Mill Reef Stakes I’m backing GIS ASUB (4.00) .

Team Ryan’s sprinter saw off Hellomydarlin at Pontefract before failing to handle Goodwood when only sixth in the Richmond Stakes. He gave Lusail most resistance in the Gimcrack at York and the juvenile can go one better.
