1.50pm: Foran Equine Irish EBF Auction Maiden
An auction maiden to kick off the card. Latin Eye is a worthy favourite. He ran to a good level on debut. The drop back in trip tomorrow may not be ideal. His high draw could prove an advantage. Another drawn high is Value Chain. He put up a promising show on debut when second on debut at Naas. That race is working out pretty well. Whether tomorrow's quicker ground will suit remains to be seen. If he proves just as effective, it would be no surprise to see him make all up the stands rail.
Selection: Value Chain 7/2
2.25pm: Heritage Hotel & Spa Handicap
Barend Boy put up a solid performance at Naas last Sunday. That run suggested that tomorrow's trip of six furlongs may be his optimum. That race was a three-year-old only handicap. Tomorrow's opposition is more exposed. He gets to run off the same handicap mark, and should go close if repeating the form. Arcanears is relatively unexposed. A high draw meant he had no chance in Naas last time. An improvement on his Navan comeback would see him bang in the mix.

Selection: Barend Boy 20/1
3pm: Weatherbys Ireland Greenlands Stakes (Group 2)
Speak In Colours, and Mr Lupton set the standard on ratings. Both have decent records fresh too, and they should be involved in the finish. A chance is taken on Urban Beat. He has travelled noticeably well in both starts this season. He may have lacked for fitness in Navan, but made no mistake in Naas. There is a chance he idled in front that day. The second gave the form a good boost last weekend. Expect Shane Foley to deliver him as late as possible. Another step up from this improving sort wouldn't surprise.
Selection: Urban Beat 11/2
3.35pm: Tattersalls Irish 2,000 Guineas
A race to savour. Magna Grecia (MG) bids to follow up his 2000 Guineas triumph. Too Darn Hot (TDH), the short priced ante post favourite, didn't make that gig. MG was very impressive at Newmarket but may have been the beneficiary of some kind of bias. TDH made his belated seasonal bow in the Dante. He suffered a first career defeat. Going down narrowly to Telecaster, over an extended 10 furlongs, may look like a very good run when this season is done and dusted. TDH was brilliant last season. It's possible that MG has improved past him but I'd be surprised.
Selection: Too Darn Hot 6/4
4.10pm: Lanwades Stud Stakes (Group 2)
A tricky race, further complicated by the lack of an obvious pacemaker. One Master, and I Can Fly set the standard. One Master has a penalty to shoulder. I Can Fly lacks consistency, though her Lockinge run probably wasn't that bad. Red Tea embarrassed the handicapper last time. This is much tougher.
Selection: One Master 3/1
4.45pm: FBD Hotels & Resorts Handicap
Lethal Power put in a solid shift on his seasonal comeback. He should strip fitter tomorrow, and the step up in trip looks a positive too. Magnetic North was another to catch the eye on comeback. He's far from exposed but the draw could have been kinder.
Selection: Lethal Power 15/2
5.20pm: New Curragh Handicap
This looks a good heat, and a number of them could prove ahead of the handicapper. Ferretti won a good race in Naas last weekend. A five pound rise could underestimate him. Sherkali look to have been given a fair chance by the assessor too. A chance is taken on Karasi. His comeback was full of promise, and runners from the Halford yard can often take a good step forward for a pipe opener.
Selection: Karasi 8/1
