Sylvester Kirk has set his sights on returning Salouen back to France later in the year for a tilt at the Qatar Prix Dollar at Chantilly.

The Lambourn handler has earmarked the mile and a quarter Group Two prize on September 30 as a possible target for the three-year-old, after he finished second at the same level in Deauville last week.

Although a third start across the Channel appears to be on the cards for the son of Canford Cliffs, he could be seen in domestic action before then with Kirk not ruling out a shot at the Group Three Sun Bets Winter Hill Stakes at Windsor on Saturday.

Kirk said: "It was a great run in France and it shows what he can do. I am pleased with how he has come back and where he is at.

"It was a nice race with good prize-money. Probably both he and the winner (Eminent) improved from their Eclipse runs.

"The mile and a quarter seems to be his trip and we will probably go back out there on Arc weekend and run in the Dollar.
