Willie McCreery eyes Fairy Bridge for Belle Boyd

Belle Boyd is set to step up to Pattern company after getting off the mark in convincing fashion at Naas earlier this month.

The Godolphin-owned daughter of Oasis Dream won a maiden over a mile by six lengths and is now likely to head for the Coolmore Stud Fairy Bridge Stakes at Tipperary on August 31. The Group Three contest is over an extended seven furlongs.

Trainer Willie McCreery reports the three-year-old filly, who had been placed in her two previous starts, to have taken the race in her stride.

"There's not a bother on her. She's in great form," said the County Kildare handler.

"We might take our time with her and go for the Fairy Bridge down in Tipperary."
