Cheltenham Festival Day Two tips: Royal Vacation is 'bet of the week'

It's Ladies Day at the Cheltenham Festival, the sun is set to shine and Lewis Jones has found a bet for in every race.

ROYAL VACATION runs in the RSA Chase at 2:10 and, honestly, I'm rather excited about it.

The selection ticks all the boxes required for a lumpy each-way bet at The Festival.

First, the favourite, Might Bite, is easy to take on due to his previous poor Cheltenham form and the selection has impressive course form in the book.

Many will dampen his chances because Might Bite was going to thrash Royal Vacation in the Kauto Star Feltham Novices Chase at Kempton before taking a crashing last fence fall, but this track will turn that form around.

Royal Vacation aside, it looks a quiet day of strong fancies but there are a couple of horses that float my boat at big prices.

Douvan is likely to shine bright in the Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase at 3:30 but the odds-on quotes represent that. I'd recommend playing the "Without Douvan" market and hope GOD'S OWN improves on his fourth from last year.

Here's everything you need to know about Day Two of the Cheltenham Festival

NEON WOLF will be very popular in the Neptune at 1:30 and should get favourite backers off to a winning start.

MODUS could be the safe each way option in a fiendishly competitive Coral Cup at 2:50 while DREAMCATCHING should run well for trainer Paul Nicholls in the Fred Winter at 4:50.

Previous Festival form is always crucial at this time of the year and ANY CURRENCY relishes the conditions in the Cross Country Chase at 4:10.

Those looking to finish the day on high should put their faith in WESTERN RYDER in the Champion Bumper at 5:30.

*The points system is a way of calculating profit and should give you a good idea of how confident the tipster is about the selection is (1 lowest, 5 highest). Whatever your normal stake size is multiply that by the point suggestion. We'll be posting the profit and loss results over the week on the daily tipping page.
