After three days of this year's Cheltenham Festival , we're on the home straight.

Tens of thousands of fans have packed into the famous track for the Gold Cup, the week's blue riband race.

But there is plenty of action before that.

The afternoon kicks off with the Triumph Hurdle before the competitive County Handicap Hurdle will be a test for the punters.

After the Gold Cup, the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle completes the week's grade one races.

You can also follow the action as it happens with our live blog.

Defi Du Seuil was a different class in the JCB Triumph Hurdle as champion jockey Richard Johnson recorded a second victory at this year's Cheltenham Festival.

The Philip Hobbs-trained four-year-old, who is owned by JP McManus, had long been ante-post favourite for this Grade One affair having excelled during the winter with five wins on the spin.

And fears the ground would be too quick for him were soon allayed as he operated on a different level to his rivals en route to a five-length success as the 5-2 favourite.

Penhill could be bound for the Melbourne Cup after giving Willie Mullins his sixth winner of the week as he come out on top in the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle on the final day of the Cheltenham Festival.

Mullins endured some high-profile disappointments on the opening two days of the meeting, but his team have been firing on all cylinders in the latter exchanges, with the Closutton handler and jockey Paul Townend earlier lifting the County Hurdle, too.

Ami Desbois cut out the early pace, but he folded two flights from home, leaving just three vying for victory with Penhill, Monalee and Wholestone taking over.

The latter was the first to crack and try as Monalee might, Penhill (16-1) kept finding for pressure as he powered up the hill to win by three and a half lengths. Wholestone was four lengths away in third.

Sizing John gave Irish trainer Jessica Harrington her first victory in the Timico Cheltenham Gold Cup with her first runner when coming home a clear-cut winner of jumping's blue riband prize.

Given a patient ride by Robbie Power, the seven-year-old completed the English-Irish Gold Cup double in style to dispel any stamina doubts.

Djakadam travelled well for most of the race and looked as though he might end Willie Mullins' hoodoo in the showpiece event, but Sizing John (7-1) pounced to lead between the final two fences.

So often in the shadow of Douvan over two miles, Sizing John kept on strongly up the hill to score by two and three-quarter lengths from the staying-on Minella Rocco (18-1).

Native River (7-2) was a short-head away in third and Djakadam - twice the runner-up - was fourth.

Fifth under Victoria Pendleton 12 months ago, Bryony Frost took the reins this time and rode a confident race on the 10-year-old.

Balnaslow made a brave attempt to make all the running but Pacha Du Polder sneaked up his inside at the final fence and went on from there.

Wonderful Charm came from the clouds to take second place, beaten a neck, with Barrel Of Laughs another neck back in third and On The Fringe fourth after winning the race for the previous two years.
