We were lucky enough to win the William Hill Ayr Gold Cup with Don't Touch last season and have the favourite for this year's race with Growl.

I wouldn't be as confident as I was 12 months ago when we expected to win but he must have a rock solid chance.

There aren't many potential improvers in against him and while the price looks quite skinny, he has a bit of pace around him in stall six and is in great form at home. I couldn't be happier with him and I just hope he gets a bit of luck.

We've two in the opening QTS/British Stallion Studs EBF Nursery.

A mile on soft ground will suit Temerity. She needs to step up on what she's done before here but might be capable of doing that.

Trip and ground look spot on for Melesina too. She's quite a lazy worker at home so on what we see at Musley Bank Temerity would beat her but I wouldn't want to draw a line through this filly either.

It looks a strong renewal of the William Hill Firth Of Clyde Stakes with the likes of Bletchley and Partitia in there and I'd be delighted if Belle Meade or Rosebride were able to finish in the frame. Both are in good form at home.

We run three in the William Hill Ayr Silver Cup. I was a fraction disappointed with Nuno Tristan at Doncaster last week when he didn't finish the race off as strongly as I'd have liked. We've not done much with him since but on his best form he'd have a chance.

Tony Hamilton felt he should have won on George Bowen in Ireland last time and he was only just beaten in this last year. We know track and ground are perfect for him here and again he'd have his chance.

Stamp Hill did well to win at the Doncaster St Leger Meeting last week. This was a race Tom O'Ryan picked out for him earlier in the year and we were always heading here. He's another who'll enjoy the ground.

We're double-handed in the William Hill Supports Clic Sargent Ayrshire HandicapGarcia came back from Royal Ascot a little lighter than I'd have liked so we've given him plenty of time. He might just be a better for the run here and is drawn wider than I'd like but a mile on this ground should be ideal.

We also run Another Touch who is in great form right now. He's out in stall 12 though and while it's not impossible he'll win from there, it does make it difficult.

Innocent Touch will need a lifetime best to win the William Hill Download The App Handicap under top weight but is in great form at home. We're very happy with him so we'll see.

Imshivalla is also in there. She runs on Thursday so we'll see how she is before deciding whether to come here.

It's just not been happening for Tatlisu this year and I don't know why. He remains in great form at home and has the perfect draw in one for the Microtech Group Handicap. Everything looks right for him but he does need to bounce back.

Ballymore Castle is also declared but we'll see how he comes out of the Bronze Cup.

Theo's Lolly is what he is - he's running well and will run his race again in the Jordan Electrics Ltd Handicap - whether that's good enough we'll have to see.

Our final runner is Desire in the first division of the Book Now For Saturday 15th October Handicap at Catterick. She's been running better of late and is entitled to run a good race here.
